So little confused, i have a youchoose account, it was a 2 year term when I joined it 3 or 4 years ago...so it has expired but still on the plan.

Am i no longer a "special" customer anymore?

jaskarn: Im so annoyed with Vodafone, went down to a couple of stores who said they didn't have any then I went to Vodafone in Manukau who did have them but didnt sell it to me. I called 777 before going there who told me I could get it if I was an existing on account customer and this is what I get. The manukau store told me that I could only terminate my contract for $300 something. We have about 10 phones on Talk Zone Zero with these guys and they dont want to sell it to us. I've wasted 2 days following Vodafone to get an iPhone and tell me to F off at the end of my effort.

Guess i'll just have to wait for online sales to begin and buy outright which will probably take 3 weeks from now. Arrh, i hate VF.

Yell

But do you hate them enough to move your business elsewhere? That's the only thing that will make Vodafone sit up and take notice, your words don't mean anything to them, they know they have it good in this country.?

I am seriously considering 2 degrees and have heard they are taking on a lot of new business accounts from vf. Telecom seems to be recovering well too, Im definitely switching to XT on my iPad.

P.S Just got my email from VF now: see link

raab: Like ahmad complaining then getting one on contract anyway ^

I'm complaining for others that were considerably inconvenienced as a result of the debacle.

I wasn't that fussed and if I didn't get one I wouldn't have cried.

I actually think more about others than I think about myself, unlike some in the world.

With regards "supporting" the corporation behind this, I have my reasons (including a large amount of remaining credit on prepaid as well as a whopping subsidy that cannot even begin to be matched by any of the others, and another compelling reason I am not able to disclose here).

Long term damage done though.

piece of cake, they are taking phone orders to hold the phone for you, also, worth the drive with no ques!!! =)

Vodafone's announcement email came way after the 12noon! Good one Vodafone NZ... You sure know how to foobar a major product launch...

30th July 2010 is truly a date to remember a major-major failure (largely) on Vodafone NZ.

I'm glad my white one isn't out today!!!

This is honestly the most underwhelmed I've ever felt upon buying a new Apple product (or any product really).

The iPhone is still sealed in box, and I won't open it until tonight.

@Ahmad... I think Apple probably be second guessing their future iPhone release on Vodafone NZ... I mean, I would be. I'll look at other carrier, or united-multiple carriers launch, like Australia, Vodafone, Optus and Telstra... combined successful launch.

Too right!

Let all of the carriers have a go, create a bit of competition for people to sign up. It shouldn't worry apple, they are still going to sell phones but it would be so much better for the consumer.

I just noticed JB Hifi have removed the reference to the ip4 from their site, maybe they thought they were going to have stock this morning and ended up dissapointed as well?
