indeed.

Sigh, rang 2 degrees and they don't provide micro-sims yet. Is it really just a matter of cutting it carefully?

All the instructions seem quite easy to follow. But I don't think micro-sims are too far off.

I've cut up two XT SIMs and it's not hard, just as long as you take it easy, and once you start getting the right shape just shave small amounts off until it fits.

I hear that the 3g launch for 2 degrees should be in August. Can't be that hard for them to get a few chip cutters in store at the same time i hope.

Easy enough to do, just practice on a couple of pre-loved sims first, call into your local mobile phone store, they are sure to have some lying around. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=make+your+own+micro+sim+card&aq=0

I'm thinking about going out now to buy one in Christchurch.

Have they got 32GB units? My contract is 18+ months old (22/01/09) and I'm planning to resign on a $40 plan.

I should probably ring a few stores first.

Has anyone else managed to purchase one in Christchurch?

Yeah I would ring, but expect to be laughed at my staff, I can't imagine there are any in stock anywhere now.

Well I finally made it in the Queen st store and waiting on a credit check.
I asked how many they actually had today at the Q st store and they said 56.

So stock is very limited.
