As I blogged in my personal blog, I am disappointed that the list of countries in which iPad Air is going to be released on 1 Nov did not include NZ. The only source of hope was a tweet from NZTechPodcast. I was still sceptical because I can't find any definitive source of release date of iPad in NZ in any corner of the web. Even official press release on Apple NZ website did not include release date.

I hoped to see iPad up for sale in Apple NZ Store today. But there is none. The site looked normal. No extra large images of iPad as Apple normally does on the release day. The optimist in me started rummaging through the website and found the answer I am dying for.

Here is how I found it: Go to Apple NZ web site. Click on iPad in the menu bar. Scroll to the end of the page and click on Shop iPad. Underneath the title iPad Air is the info I was badly looking for: Available online on 5 November.

That's another 4 days of wait. But not a clueless wait. So am good. Given this is my first iPad, I am super excited.

Interesting, so far there was no information anywhere on the release date of the best iPad yet. Not on Geekzone, not from bloggers or journos , not from NZTechPodcast which usually breaks this kind of news.
