I'm potentially looking at picking up a 7 Plus and am curious about how accurate their "3-4 weeks" wait is?

Has anyone ordered from them recently for this model of phone? Or had any experience in the past? Were they accurate, or just worst case scenario dates? How quickly did yours arrive?

Usually exceptionally accurate.

3-4 weeks I have found you'll get it at the end of week 3 or beginning of week 4, however if you are talking about an iPhone7 Jet Black this MAY differ from the norm.

All things 7+ seem to be still in short supply.

I am waiting on mine from Vodafone ordered 2 min before the official preorder was scheduled to go live

I bit the bullet and ordered from Apple last night... I guess we'll see how long it takes!

I see many people still saying that they haven't received theirs from release night though, so I'm a little concerned about that.

If it takes too long and I end up late November-ish without, I'll probably cancel and just wait for the S8.

Apple's time frame is pretty much spot on, their hasn't been many times there product arriving late (unless it was a courier screwup)

With such high demand I would guess at least three and a half weeks to delivery

I ordered mine from Apple a few weeks ago and the status hasn't changed

@mrphil - what one did you order? When you say a few, do you mean 3+ weeks? I'm a little surprised that it hasn't been updated, as I don't think the 7 Plus (excl. Jet Black) has had lead times higher than 4+ weeks advertised IIRC.

Side note;
I went into Noel Leeming today just to compare the two (7 vs 7 Plus) to make sure I'd made the right decision, especially because the 7 now has defined delivery dates (whereas the Plus is still 3-4 weeks on the website).

I compared the two phones side by side and the screen on the 7 Plus is definitely superior. Looking at clarity of some of the icons etc. within the apps, there is actually quite a difference. So I'm still stuck waiting for my 7 Plus, but am worried about the time it'll take for the order to get filled :(

After looking at the two though, the Jet Black seriously does look nice. If that had the same lead times as the Black, I'd have ordered JB.

I ordered a 7plus 128gb in black, ordered 2 and a half weeks now, no change in status or delivery date

It's driving me crazy.
I'm so tempted to just get the 7 - they have a delivery date of the 25th, at least I know I'd have that next week.

I am coming from a Nexus 6P so there is no way I could go to the tiny low res iPhone 7, big phones forever now!

I'm coming from a 5S - so definitely a bump for me either way (well not in res, but speed is my main goal). With that said, I'm getting dangerously close to cancelling my order and just placing one for a 7. Annoying the ship date on that is still quicker than my expected ship date of my 7 Plus which I ordered just shy of a couple of weeks ago.

I've checked a couple of retailers to see if they had any 7 Plus in black (maybe a canceled order), but no such luck.

Alas my order is still "Processing Item" at this stage.... Yet my dual Lightning dongle arrived over a week ago.

I walked in to PBTech last week, saw a 128gb matte black 7+ on the shelf, grabbed it and cancelled my Apple order as I walked out the door... My order had still not changed status from processing.

Interesting. Was it a Parallel imported device? I've been burned in the past and would like to steer clear.

Did they sell it out-right? or did you have to sign up to a 2D plan?

Sold outright, (even came with a 'free' power bank) unsure if it is parallel imported or not but it is the same model code as the ones my friends have received from Apple.

Have had nothing but good warranty service from PBTech in the past so not too worried tbh

I just gave the Auckland CBD branch a call and he said no 7 Plus models are available across any of the stores (he did a stock check while I was on the phone).. You were very lucky! :)
