I'm after the male end to these, either a 2x7 (14 pin) or 2x5 (10 pin), would prefer ribbon style connectors, at a pinch solder style would also do. So any one know of a source?

It's for a house alarm system, currently there is a USB adaptor for programming that plugs in to a 14 PCB plug, I plan on leaving the USB adaptor plugged in all the time, but as it sticks up quite high the lid wont fit on, so making up a short flexible lead so it can hang loose inside the enclosure.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Is this suitable?

That's the right kind, but it's PCB mount, I'm (ideally) after one that connects directly on to the ribbon cable

I'd try http://nz.rs-online.com/ or one of their competitors (Digikey, Farnell, etc). RS usually has free shipping/pickup in NZ though.
