Just spoke to Orcon tech as both lines went dead at home/business today. He raised a ticket no. 11738690.

Vdsl modem has no connection. The tech went through the usual stuff reset etc.

Downstairs business Genius Adsl is also dead.

I did see a chorus tech outside at the cabinet today at lunch....hopefully he didnt do anything stupid.

Anyhelp is greatly appreciated!

Cant post any stats yet from this phone...but sufficient to say tech support couldnt get us back on.

Piece of toast says it was the Chorus guy.
Unfortunately theyre not always careful about the things they unplug, or even just forgot to plug them back in :-p

Just checked, you are, bad news I'm afraid. The area is down, not just you, so related to a larger FRE - getting something up on the network status page as we speak

sorry mate, just hang tight, its up on the network status page, as there are over 250 users from just Orcon affected alone I would expect resolution today sometime - they're normally quick with these

We are chasing it.

With fibre or cable cuts the key is if it is civil works and the machinery operator realizes and 'fesses up then the repair can start nearly straight away, if it is e.g. rat damage it can take a while to find before the repair can begin, fingers crossed....

Latest update from Korus: "Technicians are onsite and preparation activities required for splicing have commenced, however due to the nature of the fault, are complex and restoration activities are expected to begin early tomorrow."
