Just wondering if anyone using their old Snap email account have been receiving any.
I have not had anything through on my iPad or Samsung phone since last Friday.

mine died around that time but i thought it was just because i had left 2 degrees even though that was 6-7 months ago.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

been using snap email for past 7 plus year without issue  configured in outlook 2016 presently. Not sure why they say the don't support email clients as they always have in the past and have had no issues getting support for problems either.

i would say its isolated to thunderbird as thats what i use.

Webmail is fine
Android Bluemail is fine
outlook is fine.

so thunderbird has probably changed their login string and snap does not support it.

Any error messages?

What anti-virus/security software do you use?

GoodSync. Easily back up and sync your files with GoodSync. Simple and secure file backup and synchronisation software will ensure that your files are never lost (affiliate link).

nah just "unable to connect"

but when i delete the account and redo it says "failed to get settings for your account"

doesn't matter if it do pop or imap but im sure its they way thunderbird sends the connect string to the snap mail server.

Have you tried the manual config option?

Use port 993 on imap.snap.net.nz for IMAP (SSL/TLS).

I've had occasions where the Thunderbird wizard would just not be able to successfully test the server connection settings to proceed but after setting up manually it would work fine.

Hiya,

I've had a quick look at your account, it would see like your mailbox is full - I have doubled the size of your mailbox to resolve this for you.

If you log into Webmail (https://webmail.2degreesbroadband.co.nz/) you can see how much free space available you have in your email box as per below.

Please note: an email service is not provided to new 2degrees Broadband connections, and is only supported as a legacy product for ex-Snap customers.

If you have a Snap email address, your email settings are;

E-Mail Address: username@snap.net.nz

E-Mail Login Name: username@snap.net.nz

Incoming Mail Server (POP3): pop.snap.net.nz

Incoming Mail Server Port (POP3): 110 (SSL Off) or 995 (SSL On)

Incoming Mail Server (IMAP): imap.snap.net.nz

Incoming Mail Server Port (IMAP): 143 (SSL Off)

Incoming Mail Server Port (IMAP): 993 (SSL ON)

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.snap.net.nz

Outgoing Mail Server Port (SMTPS): 465 (preferred) or 587 and requires authentication

Outgoing Mail Server SSL: On/Enabled

Nick.
