Frostwire was working no problems last night, now its not working at all, neither eMule, and no i dont use these programs for copyright infringement, they are used for other legitimate purposes.
I had ports opened for both programsand were working, but today nothing works, have double and triple checked router, rebooted router, still the same issue, checked ports etc... Telnetting in from a remote location, the ports seem to be open. So im assuming Orcon is detecting traffic distintive to these two programs and blocking the packets from going thru, hence the ports appear to be open but frostwire/emule dont work, and obviously changing ports will not work.
Can someone from Orcon confirm this?
If this is the case, I am going else where because ive had enough. Already had problems with orcon in the past restricting access to various websites like rapidshare. I was trying to download a specialised driver for a computer I was working on, (someone had post it for me) could not get any better than 6 or 7kb/s with download timming out every 5mins, eventually had to use neighbours telecom connection to grab the file. I wasmost appauled, and a cust service rep at Orcon actually admitted they were restricting rapidshare.
Not good :(
edit: Tried xtra dialup and both these programs work no problems, so why Orcon? and dont say its my router/port forwarding because its not
These programs should also work in firewalled mode with no port forwarding set up but they dont even do that
