Getting sick and tired of this, and will pay the disconnect fee, but I need alternative for $90pm unlimited naked or about 250gig.
Orcon unlimited does not support my area :(

side note, I DONT LIVE IN WELLINGTON!, I live in Auckland, I get better speed tests to wellington than Auckland!

I dealt with the slingshot team via Facebook, and even though it was two weeks later, we've been switched over to the other option euba or buba or whatever the heck it is. Everything is now working perfectly. Never considered changing providers, as you will always get problems with one or another.

i'm guessing it's your location that's the problem? most of us just messaged the slingshot user and got migrated over in 1-2 days and haven't had problems since. If they cannot swap you over i'd suggest having a chat with them to see what your options are, or move to another provider. i've heard that sometimes telecom has paid disconnection fees if you join them on contract (heard this some time ago..)

No. Can't see it getting any better if it has not already. Probably in the same basket as account logins from connections other than Slingshot's, haha!

If you do get any information on the issue, make sure you keep us updated.

Yeah there still problems, for me, its mainly mumble and game servers, I connect to some game servers but not other!?

If you don't want to phone them all the time you can send them a message reminding them... all the time.

After a few days of improved service - the connection issues are back...

Once again, Skype is dropping calls, Remote Desktop (vitally important for me) is not connecting and SkyDrive is not accessible... If there is one trait in common to all of my connection issues is that they all use secure encrypted protocols. Makes me wonder is there is some sort of surveillance equipment/technology at play here. All of the recent hype around NSA / GCSB spying is really getting to me...

Anyone else have a latency increase in games such as LoL, Dota etc since last couple of weeks when this connection problem came up?

In last 3 weeks I've gone from 50ms to 70ms on the LoL oce server

The internet got worse, cant browse most website without needing to refresh it a few times, youtube video start and stop and need to refresh to get them to work, can not join any online games, huge latency even for local servers. Auckland

Finally got my internet sorted out by swapping to Vodafone. About a month ago after a big outage in Waikato region my Slingshot connection went from bad to useless.
voip cutting out, RDP sessions not working at all, database connectivity problems etc.

After unsuccessfully trying to get through Slingshot support, l decided to go with another ISP.
With Vodafone everything is working again and I can work from home instead of driving to the office every day.

Have had issues during evening time every day for the past month. Pretty bad, but I'm not the bill payer so yeah.
