Having played with the Netcomm device that's being used by Orcon (they're not the only ones who have access to them) I can say they seem a pretty good device. If there were major problems we'd start seeing a lot more people complaining, and they're not.

Hi,

Is there currently a problem with UFB customer and international traffic? 

I literally cant do any international browsing or downloading.. a speed test to the states will time out.. 

A speed test to NZ has decent results but shows I'm in Wellington but I'm in Auckland?

I've restarted the Genius and ONT but has not made a difference.

There's no major outages that I'm aware of, and I'm getting fine speeds/connectivity to the US.  It's odd if you can do NZ but not International for sure.

Not sure what to suggest honestly, but do you have another PC or device you can check from, to rule out something odd with your PC?

3 computers in the house all getting the same performance / results.

There is definitely an issue for me, but as I said.. only internationally which made me think something could have been going on at Orcons end. 

Also, tried to webcam with the wife earlier in China.. Was unusable.. I had to use the land line (was weird ;) )

here's a screenshot of a speed test I started before this reply.. hasn't finished yet...

https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3375742169 is what my friend on 100/50 fibre usually gets, This test was in march btw, Is that bad?

Hmm.  Are you doing anything else on your connection at the moment? Pandora running? Bittorrent?

Nah, in NZ is fine.. the download speed is only marginally slower than the normal but completely acceptable

Yeah, that's roughly what I normally get and would expect.. but if you noticed the screen capture I added in above its all putty on my end.

Looks like I'll have to lodge a support call tomorrow.. maybe something wrong in my area
