Your tweaks didn't increase my international download speeds... :(

when downloads start they don't burst fast, they start slow & stay slow.
most are < 50kbps, if I'm lucky they get could go as fast as 100kbps :S

I'm on Orcon+ Gold, LLU, Airedale Exchange

Here are my Line Rates:

Firefox 202.0.0.14.dmg

Foot-Steps-of-a-Clone.mov

Fedora-9-i386-DVD.iso

I tried even using a download manager and it doesn't seem to make a difference...
Thought about turning your layer 7 switch off for a week? :D

why is my output power 0dBm?
-is that bad?

do you need a special ADSL filter for ADSL2+?
-I'm using a Dynalink one that came with my RTA1025W

Yea, good to see im not the only one with slow speeds still.

I made a video of my Download speeds and then done it with a proxy and you can see how much faster it is.

Right click -> save as (It's not a streaming one)

You will need quicktime or VLC to play it....

Seems to be better, although did get a couple of red connection issues while testing AoC, pings hitting 9999, but that could be server related.

1: This one is still slow

2: This one seems to be back to normal (altho it does kinda jump around with the speed, it used to go at a constant 400KB/s (or what ever my max speed was at the time.))

3: This is a different mirror form firefox and still slow.

4&5: Slow as well, (both HTTP and FTP)

Update on my speed:

1: goes at Max again.

2: is slow again! :( one thing gets fixed and the other gets un fixed :(

3: goes at Mac again.

4&5: are still slow.

I'm please your working on the issues but there are still issues with streaming audio. As I write I can't even sustain a 64kbit connection to the BBC and fall back to 44k or worse.

8pm on Monday night and the download of Firefox 2 from the Mozilla site is still rubbish. I'm getting a speed of around 240bps.

And trying to stream youtube is crap.Can't sustain a stream. This is starting to get reallllly reallly annoying.
There seems to be issues with 60.234.9.1 which appears to be in Orcons network somewhere.

This has been going on for ages, and since we have the IP of what is causing it, it shouldn't be that hard to locate and fix the issue, as it looks like this has been going on for over 2 weeks now!!!!!!

I would of switched ISP's (Like many already have) and gone to another much cheaper/reliable ISP if it wasn't for a contract thing where locked in

I just can't see why this is taking so long to fix, if I was a ISP and had such a issue (all international speeds slow) I would make this a priority to fix, taking over 2 weeks to fix this isn't good enough if you ask me.

Im sorry if it seems like im getting a bit pissed off, but there is only so much I can take before I explode.

Having a little more information as to how far they are with fixing this issue would be really nice, like where 60% done... or this will be fixed in a week...

And how come there "System Status" says "There are currently no known issues." when there clearly is.

Latest update as of midnight Monday trying to download Firefox 2 and it won't even start the download now. Absolute c**p.

BTW Does anyone know if Skype will work under these conditions? My two kids are hoping to see and speak to their grandparents on Friday.

Skype could work, if your just using the voice part then yea it should. even video might work if your lucky.

Just a update on how things are on my end.

Download speeds are slowing down to 0-20KB/s now :(

and even some sites are loading slow now (might just be because of on peak traffic.)
