2d suggest my handset or it is a black spot for mobile coverage

As I have tried to explain to 2d the cellsite is line of site and zero 4G coverage around the area not even over lapping 4G coverage

@liquidcore I wonder if the RAN team think I am speaking about the site at the Silverdale off ramp heading North

Here is a photo of the site at 960 Dairy Flat Highway

The RSM site has it listed as 900Mhz 3G only same as on page1 of this thread but the 2d RAN team are advising the area has 4G coverage

So who is correct?

@freitasm They don't want to change provider they would like some or any of the 4G coverage the map reflects

There are three sites out along Kahikatea Flat Rd. The one closest to North Shore airfield has LTE 700 for sure, but at my SIL's place I would expect to be on the middle one (Waitoki) and I do remember there being LTE out there too. It isn't blazingly fast which makes me suspect it's LTE 900 (i.e. on a limited bandwidth because it has to share with UMTS). Is it possible your friends' device just isn't L900 compatible? There are very few sites remaining that really do not have any LTE.

@SaltyNZ My S20+ purchased from 2degrees 100% supports L900 band8

The sites above you speak about are LTE for sure but I am not speaking about those locations / sites

The location / area I am trying to get across to the team at 2d is old Albany Hill hearding North to Dairy Flat not the airport side not heading towards Kaukapakapa along Kahikatea flat Road / Waitoki

@SaltyNZ 2d have a site right where the Red pin is, This site is not RBI no co-location just a 100% built / owned 2d site

This site as of Saturday night is still 3G 900Mhz only and has never transmitted a LTE signal

I will be in Dairy Flat this afternoon and I will get screen shots from the radio monitor on my S20+

Ah... Maybe that's why the RAN response has been adamant there was LTE at Dairy Flat as well then. I was definitely confused. Yes, I think you're right about that one. I can certainly ask the RAN guys but the answer will be pretty vague - 'Yes, 4G is planned for that site' as for obvious logistical reasons they don't like to give firm dates about specific sites. I'll see what they say.

@SaltyNZ back on page1 of this thread posted  23-Oct-2018 is the actual address of the site

I am not sure how the RAN team could be confused about this
