You can see on the graph from the router there is no other throughput, I have tested after unplugging all devices with a single laptop on the modem, same  results

The large bumps there is testing with google speed test, which as good speed, the last rise is speedtest.com to vocus and fast.com both of which are slow

There seems to be some funky routing for that 161.29.x.x range too, for example it is going via Hurricane Electric in Sydney rather than staying within NZ for me. But then you would expect Vocus speed test servers to have optimal routing...

Think this is a routing issue within 2degrees//Vocus I am on Sky (Vocus Brand) with a 161.29.xx.xx ip if you want me to test anywhere

Yep the 2degrees CG-NAT ranges look to be 161.29.224.0/24, 161.29.225.0/24, 161.29.226.0/24, 161.29.228.0/24  separate from Sky BB 161.29.208.0/20 for which external traffic routing at least looks normal.

https://lg.vocusgroup.co.nz/

Why set up another CG-NAT pool surely they have plenty of dynamic IPs to put new customers at least in the Slingshot/Orcon pool.

Finally got through got through after 2.5 hours on hold, told to wait till Tuesday as "sometimes our network takes 5 days to settle down", I've had enough and am going to break the contract I think

Are you still on that 161.29.226.x IP range, a static IP probably would bypass any routing problem with that CG-NAT range although you might need to get lucky for someone to hand one out just for testing. Or maybe they can put you into another CG-NAT pool if that's an option.

Killerkiwi2005: "sometimes our network takes 5 days to settle down",

They're talking about DDLM, which this isn't. Default answer without actually considering the available info.

I requested a static IP but they would not give a timeframe for it

I know.... can't even blame the operator not there fault, but there seems to be no way to get an answer/fix

2degrees giving you the run around this is a routing issue not a DDLM issue
