i never said it was their concern like i said at the end it was better being with telecom paying MORE for better service

going for cheap ones when it comes to isp's ain't a good idea but
Lammiwinks you can make up your own mind just do your research
on forums not necessarily on here but wherever i wish i had of i have not referred one person onto slingshot nor will i be. :D

Why would one leave Snap for Slingshot. Looking back on their history of problems here on GZ, puts them at the bottom of the list of ISP's I'd consider signing up with!

Snap are based in Christchurch.
They are cheaper in CHCH or Welly when you are using their phone package.
One of the main things I like about Snap is when you have to ring their call center you speak with a Kiwi thats located in NZ!

Totally. Snaps customer service is second to none, I have loved being with them.

The Slingshot Unlimited plan is what has me jumping shift. Snap need to offer some higher data rate plans :)

Please note it is not ALL of Wellington and Christchurch. You will need to clarify the exact house number, street and suburb.

Also dont forget they now have unlimited plan too.
$5 for 3 nights 1am to 7am uncapped, I have got over 70GB in that 18 hour timeframe more than once :)
And as rscole86 pointed out, be sure to check you are within their $10 discount areas.

I'm in Auckland and use Snap.  I think it adds about 40ms to international latency as the connection has to go to Christchurch first, but apart from that I'm getting pretty much max connection I can.  No problems with them at all, and CS is first class....

Update -

STILL not connected, and probably wont be until the 3rd IN CENTRAL Wellington.

DO NOT signup for slingshot. Their crappy customer service team keeps changing the story on me promising different dates, "urgent queues" and all sorts of Bollocks their manager confirmed was untrue.

Just spoke to a manager who said "If I could flick a switch and make it work I would mate".

Yes a lot of people coming off Big Time didn't notice Snap added this.

Queue up a bunch of large things to download in a download manager or utorrent that has a scheduler (start/stop times), active the 3 nights off peak deal and let it loose.
