027 Telecom 027 ported to 2degrees has zero delay issues here. edit: and right as i say that a multipart message (3 messages) from Telecom to 2degrees hasn't come through after several minutes. Single messages were instant initially. Now everything from telecom to 2degrees is getting delayed by several minutes at least (and many haven't come through)
I just talked to my gf, it turns out at least one txt sent from Telecom to 2degrees today has gone missing, and others are taking 10 minutes to 2 hours to arrive.
Txt isn't reliable enough to use at the moment, you have to call someone if you want to be sure they got the message, so to speak.
My gf sent one multipart txt and they arrived much closer together. Instead of 10 mins apart it was around 20 seconds. It's still not as fast as when I was on vodafone, which delivered them within a couple of seconds of each other, but it's better.
I'm back on the 2degrees native network now, the problem happened roaming to VF and on the actual 2deg network, so that wasn't the problem.
The interconnect issue was resolved around 23:40 last night. If you are still experiencing delays please call 0800 022022 or 200 from your 2degrees phone.
Texts from Telecom to 2degrees are going missing, and vice versa.
Two single part txts were sent from the 027 number I gave last time to myself at approx 21:48 this evening and I didn't receive them at all - at least not so far and it's 22:27 now. I was expecting the txt as it was part of a conversation, so I asked about it and two were definitely sent. They were resent and came through the second time.
A txt I sent from 2deg to Telecom at 22:09:07 never arrived. It was a multipart txt, though I don't know if that's an issue, since since part txts have gone missing too.
In general txts in both direction are getting lost, at random.
If I can't trust that my messages are delivered and that messages to me arrive there's no point me being on 2degrees, which I switched to because of their more generous allocation of text messages on their monthly plans. I never had this problem on Vodafone.
