I find some of the comments typical of those that should know better.
The fact that I am a 2Degrees customer currently being connected via Vodafone how can 2degrees be responsible for a failing on the Vodafone system, and I agree with the other person from this area who queries the blocking of data, because that is what it is, the excuse of blaming system overload is an easy cop-out, are we to accept that Vodafone in this area are having 48 hour overload, bollocks, we are not all stupid.

As advised by the others, if you want to lodge a complaint, talk to 2Degrees in the first instance.
If you were in the USA as a Vodafone customer roaming on AT&T (for example) and you had an issue, who do you think you would call first? Who are you paying for the service, AT&T or Vodafone? Think of it like that.

The site is planned for a major upgrade this year sometime as I understand

To start with I am disappointed with some of the comments from a certain 'Uber geek" who has seen fit to abuse me via private mail, lowers the standard of this Forum
..
at this time I am getting the following when I try for a data connection " NETWORK ERROR "
I have sent an email to 2Degrees about the problem and await thier reply.

I have no time for Graymond after the comments he has made. You are purchasing a best efforts service and you would (as would I) complain if my mobile costs doubled just so that sufficient capacity could installed at hot sports that only need it for a few days a year.

My suggestion is if you need packet switch data you either get DSL with an SLA or satellite connection with an SLA. If Telecom works for you, great - just use them.

Also the fact you are saying its Vodafone's responsibility and not 2degrees - this is an issue you need to talk to 2degrees about as you are their customer. It's their responsibility to have coverage in areas and the fact they outsource that to Vodafone for much of the country is their choice....

Yes my PM was direct and to the point and how I feel this evening, Other Users here on Geekzone have advised you that you are a 2Degrees customer and you need to be dealing with 2Degrees. The issue you are having still could be on the 2Degrees side, The congestion Alarms have cleared now off that site (Just checked before with our NMC team)

When 2Degrees customers roam onto the Vodafone NZ network the 2Degrees network is still used so the error you are pointing out I would say is not related to congestion but something else,

NMC checked 3G packet switch and they could see Vodafone NZ customers attached using data fine

@Graymond I know this is beating a dead horse but:
* The fact that you are roaming on Vodafone changes nothing - you are a 2 Degrees customer that go through 2 Degrees systems (Not just for billing).
* The person who you are referring to has gone above and beyond to identify the issue while also providing you with the next steps (contacting your service provider, 2 Degrees). He also has a habit of helping others (including myself).
* Despite receiving the advice, you continue posting despite it having no affect on reaching a resolution.
* You have only just contacted the service provider in the last post, this should ideally be the first step.

Help us, help you - take a step back, read what we are telling you and contact your service provider (2 Degrees).
