I've logged a ticket for you with the Tier 2 Assurance guys - I'll follow up with them tomorrow but this looks very odd in that your national is fine, can't see anything wrong locally or internationally....

I've also been having horrific international speeds for the past couple weeks (Even my mother has been mentioning it) on UFB.

I've given up online gaming due to the ping to AUS going from 40 to 90+ (Playing Black Ops 2 PC usually 60ms, at night 100-150ms.

After about 6PM each night Aus traffic goes from the usual 27MB with 39-43 Ping to 3-7Mb with about double the ping.

Everything feels sluggish outside of local traffic, which is running max speed regardless of time.

Here is an image from the 13-14th. The first showing performance at night, the next is morning performance. I'm still getting these speeds at night now.

Its pretty obvious to me that there is an issue with international speeds at peak times. I'm on VDSL but I get the same issues.

My thread shows my connection has exactly the same issues. Slow/fluctuating speeds at peak times, great outside that.

This wasn't the case a few weeks back.

I got kicked off Blizzard servers last night again.

I have been unable to play on EA servers as well.

I too experienced speed issues with my Orcon UFB connection in St Marys Bay last night. Was downloading a small app which took forever. Did a local speedtest and was only getting 3.9 something down and 1.9 something up.

Blimey, I am getting almost local speeds (around 27Dn, 7Up on 30/10 plan) to San Diego, Los Angeles and even London. I must be getting the OP's bandwidth as well!!

i see.

30mbit to London on a speedtest just sounds a little unbelievable since often they finish before the tcp/ip stack can ramp up the window scale.

Well, luckily the ping isn't too much higher, but the speed to AUS... WOW!

Normally 27/9Mb before about 7PM. Clearly congestion here...

Before these issues showed up a few weeks back, at anytime of the day or night I could sustain 27/9 to Sydney.

Okay, I'm back.

After I got my line back online after a few hours I re tried some speed tests, Quite impressive...

To Local Christchurch Snap:

Ping is a bit lame, not bad speeds though.

To Wellington Telecom Server:

To Auckland Orcon Server:

I believe it was having some problems as my SpeedTest Mini to my Auckland server was fine, so I'll assume it was all good!

So, Thats quite impressive, so I tried Internationally

Sydney Telstra Server:

Basiclly the same as National traffic! Awesome!

Random USA Los Angeles Server:

Very impressive! 50/50 is good to the US!

Random Europe Manchester Server:

Thats pretty good considering It's going half way around the world! Still beats my old ADSL speeds to the local Snap Server!

I assume my speeds were so good because lots of people lost connection and not everyone was online.
Luckily I still get a good 92/51 to the Snap Server but sadly my ping is still lame. :(

I even get a pretty lame ping to orcon.net.nz! When I joined I did have a 3-4ms ping to orcon.net.nz , now It's around 23ms.

Could you perhaps be confusing pings to your gateway vs ping times to their website which no doubt is hosted in Auckland. 22ms is good for CHC to AKL
