Just to let you know where we're at with our Steam Cache;
- yes, we still do have our Steam cache, and it is online - We will be upgrading the disk ASAP so we can hold the full Steam library - Snap's Steam cache will be available to any NZ IP address - Any traffic to snap customers, from our local Steam cache is be un-metered
Unfortunatley, because of limited disk space at the moment, we do not have the full Steam catalogue, which means people are getting caught out thinking they're un-metered, and getting a surprise 10-15Gig worth of usage, which is coming from another (metered) source.
If you have been caught out, please call our helpdesk and explain your situation. You may find that we'll be quite reasonable about it...

I am also with SNAP. Excellent ISP! Always helpful over the phone, especially you Nick. Anyway, I myself was quite interested when I found about the SNAP Steam Cache after looking at the settings in Steam.
I can't wait for there to be an official announcement from SNAP. I see a few post's back they are currently adding more disk space (HDD) to the stream cache "(node)"....
Will be quite interesting once we know what games are unmetered for example. Such as will they be able to tell exactly what is cached and what's not ?

NZSimplicity: well citiesxl2012 was NOT on snaps content server, it clobbered my data cap...
I Believe someone from snap said a few pages back or on facebook that the helpful help desk staff would be happy to hear from anyone that has downloaded from steam and had their data gobbled..
They have always been awesome to deal with when I have had issues.. try calling them, you might be surprised!

Can you check to see if 'The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim' is on the server as I downloaded that over the weekend and as far as I can tell it did not use any of my data for the month, as it had just rolled over on the previous day.
