Got connected a few days ago, everything working great, although I'm still waiting for my brothers sim to be connected (I ordered his the day after mine).

I have one concern though, according to the Slingshot website all calls to mobiles and landlines in NZ are charged at 35c per minute, I made a <1 call to a Vodafone mobile and was charged 40c? am I missing something or am I being charged the wrong rate?

I don't mind much as I rarely make any calls but thought I'd ask.

Hi Mark here. I have identified an issue affecting the shipping of SIM only orders. I am working with the distributor to address this. Once I have more information I will post an update.

Is there any way to see how much data I've used this month? visbill doesn't show anything when I change it to current billing period, texts and call show up though.

I have a couple of those data usage apps but they both show different amounts so I would like to see if either are accurate.

For mobile I am not aware of any way to see how much data is left no. I believe you would have to monitor this on the handset or device using the data (Such as the app 3gwatchdog which is what I use)

Yeah I'm using 3G watchdog and My data manager but they both tell me different numbers so it makes me question how accurate they are, guess I'll have to wait till the end of the billing month and see if it shows up then.

Surely you're tracking that data for billing purposes, it would be really useful for a user to be able to view that data so we can choose to upgrade our data pack.

Sadly we don't have our own data stream and we cant see what has been used until the end of the bill period. I agree would be a good feature though.

Is the 35c GST exclusive, because it sounds like 35c plus GST = 40c to me.

There billing system is all over the place, a friend has recently signed up with the casual  rate mobile offering. Some calls he is charged 40cpm and other calls he is charged 23cpm, and he has no other services with Slingshot.
And you cannot keep track of how much data you are using.
He has contacted customer services several times and has been told there is billing errors and his casual rate is 35 cpm inclusive GST.

I'd love to see $30-35/month for 1500txts, 20mins calling and 250MB of BIS.

Thats reasonable, right?

Yeah, Slingshot need to sort out their billing, I have 2 mobile calls on my bill I never made (and was charged 23c instead of 35c?) and a call to voicemail cost me 23c instead of 20c? Also seems I have also been undercharged for my 2 calls to a 027 number (Voda) and my call to the fish n' chip shop, not that I'm complaining about that ;)

Vodafone do a $40/month plan with 100 mins, 2500 texts and 250MB data if you sign up for a 12 month term, so it sounds reasonable to me.
