Okay so there are people still having these problems ? I can't connect to a few websites and can't play LoL and XBL is even messing up. I'm paying quite a lot for subs and the internet so does anyone know if this is being resolved ? because I've rang them and they keep giving me this NOC team bs.

Yup still having the issues here. I  think what is bugging us the most is Slingshot is not even acknowledging there is a fault. I called 2 days ago about this issue and the girl was sending a tech out to the local cabinet here.. to "Switch" something over (christ i hope they don't make it worse). When the service works it's actually great, and she just said to try again on Monday or tuesday, but by then it would of been 7 nights of issues. Do you guys actually notice the issues start at a certain time around 4- 4:30PM -6pm until around 1:30AM.. Last night i couldn't sleep so I hopped online and tried and it was exactly 1:30 AM where my services started to resume back to normal, Skype voice worked again. I was able to connect to my online games. During the day it has been fine. Always around that same time the service goes to pot.

Would love to know what is going on. Heh was looking forward to getting some gaming time in. oh well it's gotten me into reading a good book at least  :P

*Update 8:11PM* I can now log into World of Warcraft and there is no lag and hasn't disconnected. I was not able to do this at all last night.*

So I spent basically 50 min wating then finally got through to one of the guys, didn't catch his name though... It is a known problem but they haven't resolved it yet. Like other's I'm on BUBA and it sound's like I'll be moved over to EUBA so we'll see if that helps, not crossing my fingers...

Wonders if it will help our evening speeds...

Yeah times vary, but the internet runs like a boss from like 1-5am then is just terribly the rest of the time. I mean youtube runs FB loads.. but I don't pay $100 for those two services alone. I've been ringing them everyday about the LoL issues itself , but theres even more problems than just that. They really better fix this within next week or i'll be strongly considering paying them out and switching to orcon for their naked unlimited plan.

Also whats BUBA EUBA? :L

BUBA = Basic Unbundled Bitstream Access. It breaks a lot and is crap at the best of times. EUBA = Enhanced Unbundled Bitstream Access. It is much better.

Hi Guys

We are currently investigating this issue,  if we can ask anyone who experiencing issues to random services at random times to PM me your account details I will take a look into if you are affected by this issue and we may ask for more information depending on what we find.

Many Thanks,

Liam

Well I just signed up just for this thread. I've been in contact with slingshot over the phone after waiting more than 30min.

There was a pretty helpful guy on the other end but unfortunately, he couldn't figure out the issue. Along with dropbox, github's CDN, bitbucket's CDN, google services (specifically CDN and authentication) are all down from my end. DNS changes make 0 difference. Tried to use the services through a quick ssh tunnel and that was a success so it seems this is most assuredly something on slingshot's end. It's quite annoying especially since it's been going on for more than 4 days now.

Ditto here - using VoIP directly, I can't even login to the server - using it via a SOCKS proxy over SSH to get out of slingshot's network, and it's all fine.

The fact that the port (and the protocol) are making such a difference really does point the finger at the shaping in some way - but I imagine "turn it off" isn't really an option.

Given that I do all my P2P via a different system - I wonder if I can get an "unlimited without shaping, but P2P not allowed"? :)

i think callplus might have a plan like that, possibly. it'd be a business one though.
