insane:Rappelle: I have had global mode on for months, and I'm still unable to use this service. Netflix always detects I'm from New Zealand. Could this be related to using google's DNS over slingshot's?
Ahuh, directly related

daunjan: They sort of overstated their claim only Netflix, Hulu work on Globalmode. Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer need dsl or vpn...

Saranis: If anyone else having a problem with this? I am having trouble connecting to the netflix website. All it keeps doing is "connecting".
The few times it has loaded it has streamed fine. I am also able to connect to help.netflix.com fine. Likewise when I try to access the site through a proxy it works fine. I am having this problem across IE, Chrome, and Firefox. Neither my tablet or phone is able to connect to netflix via wifi either.
This problem began today, it worked fine yesterday (July 5th). I have made sure that the DNS is set to automatic. I have rebooted the router.
Here is a Traceroute I ran from my computer to netflix.com...

you could always ask Slingshot for help.
Oh wait, no you can't!
Solution: use unblock-us, unotelly or one of the many other services that offer actual support for their products. Well worth the measly $5/month

Skot323: BBC iplayer still working for me! Try turning global mode on and off and restart your router I dont know how/why this works but it normally fixes things up for me. Failing that you could flush your DNS via CMD
