I just called to upgrade from 100/50 unlimited to 200/20 unlimited, I was paying $135/month and it is now $120/month. So it seems like a better deal to me, but I am just wondering when Snap will introduce "global mode"?

RalphFromSnap: Hi kingjj

Good try ;) How about this?

Your current deal is 100/50 for $95/m (was $110) plus a 250GB data pack for $25 = 400GB total for $120.

Why don't you move to;

200/20 for $110 plus $10 U/L deal = $120 total. So for the same as you're currently paying you move to 200Mbps and get U/L data. You'd just need to re-commit to a new 24 month term. Seems like a pretty sweet deal to me ;)

Cheers
Ralph

Can't blame a man child for trying :-D

Is there anyway to keep the current plan specs and go unlimited? I quite like my 50 upload. I have no issue committing for another 2 years. If not I could likely be persuaded that you know best with your suggestion.

Cheers Ralph

Quinny: I seriously dont get the push for faster speeds. I was on the super fast cable (something like 130/50) came over to UFB 30/10 and my ftp downloads as still just as speedy. 2 full time gamers, ftp downloads and at same time streams to tv all with zero issues. Very glad I have already locked in 30/10 unlimited tbh.

if it wasnt noticed, that says something about your previous connection imo..

Or it just says something about their usage.  For single threaded FTP, gaming, streaming I wouldn't be surprised if the difference wasn't that noticeable. For many households and people 30/10 will be just fine (people on these forums are a little different though right?) ;-)

Well, I'll admit to not being a true geek, as 30/10 is adequate for our needs. What I was after was a more generous quantity of data on this plan, so this announcement is actually disappointing.

Snap, is there no interest in providing either unlimited data or at least a generous cap for 30/10 users like me at a competitive rate? The data packs are not that reasonably priced to increase data from the base quantity to say even only 200GB. Indeed, what's my best option to increase my data to 200 or 250 (from base of 100, as we have been on contract for about 18 months)? My contract's up in about six months so am starting to look around for the most suitable deal. Our need for data quantity is growing (mostly VOD), but speed is just as not a concern. Thanks!

I am also on the UFB 100/50 plan for $95/month like kingjj. I do utilize my 50mbps upload every day. For $95/month, I can get the 100/20 unlimited plan from Snap or $120/month will get the 200/20 unlimited plan or $150/month will get the 200/200 unlimited plan with VOIP on a new 24 month contract. Snap CSR was not sure whether existing customers can get the 7490 for $50 on the new 24 months contract like new customers will. My existing contract with Snap expires in 3 months.

With Snap, I can get the 100/20 unlimited for $95/month incl VOIP on a 24 months contract.
With Bigpipe, I can get the 100/20 unlimited for $90/month incl VOIP from 2talk or WXC and no contract.

If I can retain my 50mbps upload with Snap @ $95 unlimited, it will be perfect and I won't mind signing a 24 months contract. I will have to look at other options when my contract expires as some very good competitive offers from no contract ISP''s like Bigpipe are out and hopefully more will by end of this year.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Hi ibozhu

We're still working through what our content play will look like. In the meantime, we know many of our customers are using the likes of unotelly and unblock-us, which we believe offer a better level of service/support than Global Mode. persoanlly I use unotelly and it works like a charm - no issues whatsoever.

Cheers

Hi kingjj

The other option that you could consider is this - move to (now retired, but we can make an exception!) 100/50 Unlimited for $139 - $15 (your current promo disc) for new total of $124. Personally I'd still be moving to the 200/20 UL for $120, but if you want this other option I'm happy to make it work. Let me know which one you want, your account user name (feel free to PM), and I'll arrange.

Cheers
Ralph

Hi jonathan18

From our discussions with our cusotmers, the vast majority are asking for faster speeds, and U/L data seems to be the new battleground as well. But I appreciate that not everyone fits into this group.

Drop me a PM with exactly what you're after and (no promises!) I'll see what I can do for you.

Cheers
Ralph

Hi solaybro

About 3 months ago!! The team are working really hard on it, but its just taking longer than hoped. The whole site is getting re-done (including incorporating the Snap Business site) so its a reasonable job. We're also spending a lot of time on the product selection and sign-up process, to make sure these are much slicker than what we have currently, and easier to understand for the end user. And of course the whole site (including choosing plans and completing the sign-up process) will be able to be actioned on any type of device.

We might try and get a few sneak pics up on Twitter & Facebook over the next few weeks so that you know its actually coming!

Cheers
Ralph

I hope the new everything can include calling pack add ons!

I know Snap offer a great quality of service, but I'm feeling the burn at the moment paying $800 - $1200 more per year than I would on Slingshot or Flip :(

would have been nice to see something like 200/50 or 200/100 instead of only been able to choose between the 20mbit and 200mbit uploads @ 40$ a month difference (on unlimited plan)

Was hoping you were going to update the Business plans as had another customer i was going to send your way.
