Trunks2:
tardtasticx: I'd love to see $30-35/month for 1500txts, 20mins calling and 250MB of BIS.

Thats reasonable, right??

Vodafone do a $40/month plan with 100 mins, 2500 texts and 250MB data if you sign up for a 12 month term, so it sounds reasonable to me.

He mentioned BIS, which is a blackberry data service. They tend to be more expensive than a normal data plan.

Anyone been able to get MMS working on an Android device? Seems to be conflicting ways to set it up and I can't get it going.

The setup pdf says one thing http://slingshot.co.nz/app_files/android%20lg%20set-up.pdf

The section under "my account" says different.

Do you have 'mms' and 'default' in lower case? very important to have both in lower case otherwise mms won't work.

If you can't get the slingshot ones working try the telecom ones below. I also have the lg and the below works for me.

DEFAULT:
apn: wap.telecom.co.nz
apn type:default

MMS:
apn: wap.telecom.co.nz
mmsc: http://lsmmsc.xtra.co.nz
mms proxy: 201.55.11.73
apn type:mms
