Linux:

@DimitryD factory reset router to factory and then try update again

@Linux

Ok - reset my modem to factory settings, installed the new update through the 192.168.178.1 site, tested, all worked fine for about 5 mins (except the work homepage - hosted in MS Azure). This was about 5 mins ago. Now it has reverted back to same sites not working again (e.g Tableau gives the same error re Microsoft)?!?!?! So weird.

Any thoughts?

Get 2degrees to allocate you a static ipv4 address and see if that helps!

@Linux we have previously tried that with 2degrees and it did nothing. Do you reckon there's a chance I will experience different results now that I'm on v7.57?

It improved my home Fibre connection but 7.57 was only meant to be a vulnerability patch so I really have no idea now

Try the static IP again I guess

Run through my test on the previous page.

You're not on Atlantis anymore, Duncan Idaho.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

@MadEngineer right now onedrive and teams are working, and so is the work intranet. The only thing I can see not working is the Tableau connection to Microsoft (which works on any other internet connection). It refers to a website which, if I just load on Edge, works fine. Is there any way to test this issue?

Otherwise, I'll wait for the problem to pop up again (it intermittently does) and I'll follow your instructions then. Thanks.

Resolved (at least for me).

I've received a new router (Orbi) from 2degrees (who have been fantastic to deal with throughout) and this seems to have solved all my issues.

A little anti-climatic at the end for my situation and not exactly clear yet what had caused the issue in the first place but so be it. If anyone is still experiencing the issue, I know the root cause is still being looked at.

I will be staying with 2degrees as a happy customer.

Did you have to pay for the replacement router out of interest?

People, am I going to have to block more people from this discussion? The topic is 2degrees, not One NZ. @xor is welcome to create a new topic in the One NZ subtopic and then people can try to figure out what's going on.

Since the OP's problem seems to be solved by replacing the router, I have removed all off-topic replies, and I am locking this thread.
