At the moment I can't access the Xbox site on pc, or connect to xbox live on my console. Can access every other site I've tried and my ps3 has no problems connecting. Anyone else on orcon having these issues or is xbox just down ?

Playing Halo 4 on live as I type this. Can access the website fine as well.

U with Orcon ? I've tried rebooting router twice but still no luck.

Same for me.
Also on Orcon, also tried rebooting the router.

I can access this site which tells me Live is up and running

But I cant access the My Account page

The fact you're having the problem too suggest to me it may be an Orcon problem.
But im not going to do anything about it sorry, im going back to Steam. Ill just hope its working next time I try play Forza.

Finally getting rid of Orcon soon too. Had enough of them, they charge too much for services I dont even want.

haha sorry if I sounded bitter. Im not, Ive just been meaning to change to Vodafone for ages and finally did last week.
Now I can get rid of this Genius router that I never wanted, get rid of my "landline" that I never wanted and pay $30 less for 70gb's more :) Plus I get sky discounts. I win.

Havent been that impressed with Orcon's helpdesk recently, they used to be good, but have steadily gotten worse and worse over the years. But that said im not expecting much going into Vodafone.

But anyway, this is all irrelevant and off topic. Xbox Live still not working.

Ive been on hold with tech support since making my initial post, almost an hour now without talking to anyone. Not that i'm surprised, they have never been helpful via phone.

I've just tested my Xbox Live from home too and its working fine for me, does sound like an ISP or routing issue

I had noticed to I couldn't get my phone to logon to the Smartglass app, and my xbox had disconnected from live, it's been on for awhile not being used, so may have cut off a hour or two ago, not sure.
Also just noticed I can't get xbox live on xbox.com to work.  Hmm

I'm having the exact same issue. I'm on orcon and cannot access xbox live. I spent an hour playing with router settings trying to get it to work before even thinking about checking on geekzone.

My patience is wearing thin, I'm getting at best average speeds on battlenet during the hours that I'm at home, and now I can't even connect to xbox live. I used to rave about orcon but over the last six months the service I've received from them has dropped majorly.

Got through the tech support after waiting an hour. Guy just kept saying theres nothing wrong with the Orcon network and to call Microsoft and if they say things are fine then to call Orcon back. Really not interested in waiting another hour just to get another tech support person who refuses to get anyone to look into the issue. Found people on gpforums and facebook who are with Orcon, ALL who can't connect to xbox.com or to xbox live via console.

Hi Nathan, any tips on anything I could try to connect? Was all fine earlier today, got the two updates yesterday np too. It's giving me an mtu error when I test connect via console. I'm guessing all I can do is wait or ring orcon back tomorrow.

It sounds like it is outside of your control

I'm on XBL right now at home and playing fine

It sounds like an ISP issue and your ISP just brushed you off and didn't take you seriously, I guess a Tier 1 help desk tech just following his script of what to say

I would have asked them on the phone can they access xbox.com / XBL themselves

Yeah I've got friends on other ISPs on xbl right now too. Will have to try help desk again.
