As per title, internet "drops" during a call. The word is in quotes, because Fritzbox still reports that it is synced, however any requests get timed out, and only a few make it through after epic 9600k-level loading time.

Anyone know what might be causing this? We have VDSL via FritzBox (cheaper one).
In general, call quality is also very low with beeps and static and so on (flatmates say it's pretty unacceptable). I have gone through the admin panel, but there's nothing I can do with limited knowledge on this subject.

Our phone is from Hong Kong, so is it possible that this would be causing the low quality or internet drops or both?
