So, I've been connected to snap VDSL for a little over a month now.
Since my initial connection problems and phone problems things have been pretty smooth.
Internet speed has been 100% perfect and easily match Telecom.
Snaps VOIP phone service is still not quite as good as a standard pots telephone connection. My main complaint is using the phone keypad to navigate interactive answering systems does not always work. Ironically it does not even work with Snaps own voice answering system. Other than that , the connection quality and receiving/making calls is generally as good as pots (although maybe a tad slower to connect).
As for the fritzbox -- that has been my main disappointment as most reviews say it is the best thing since sliced bread.
I've failed to get the integrated dect base station to reliably work with my panasonic dect-gap phones. On paper, my phones should be 100% compatible.
The fritzbox wireless-n speeds are terrible compared with my linksys E4200. I've just disabled the fritzbox wireless radios and use my linksys instead .
So basically the fritzbox is just a modem with a couple of phone ports for VOIP enablement. Overhyped given wireless/dect are not working for me.
