I have just have Snap VDSL connected and was after a bit of advice.
I have 6 jackpoints in the house including a Master jackpoint which is directly wired from the demarcation point at the front of the house off a VDSL splitter.
I have a downstream attenuation figure of 8dB and downstream sync speed of 45Mbps with actual speeds around 42Mbps (Also 9-10Mbps upstream) I want to know if a disconnected all the jackpoints (except the master DSL point of course) from the point the copper enters the house will this improve my attenuation figures?
Also I am still within the 10 days of being connected on VDSL. I am on DLM2 i believe - hopefully it moves up to DLM1 and even 17a as there seems to be a very low error count.
Does the VDSL splitter do the same as disconnecting all the jackpots? (I have a naked connection)
Is it worth doing this for a attenuation figure lower than 8dB or am I just getting fussy?
Thanks
