Hey,

Been around 30 minutes now with no internet connectivity.

Currently have sync and PPP up, but unable to browse.

Have checked DNS etc.. Am able to ping slingshots default gateway.

Trying to do a trace route from my Vodafone 3G connection starts to time out once it reaches slingshot, or doesn't in this case. Trying from my server in France I get the same result essentially.

Did slingshot accidentally turn off all their routers again?

does indeed seem a little dead, saw two others on slingshot both suddenly drop off with no warning a little ago.. possibly related..

All up and running again. But still, it looked like most of Slingshots network was down.

Any explanation anyone?

Surely if it was planned there'd have been some sort of notification somewhere? Probably the hamster fell off his wheel again...

On the money. We weren't expecting service to actually drop and not for as long as it did so apologies for any inconvienience! Everything should be back up and running now.

Cheers,
Chris

Not all planned work has to be notified

No, sure, but I would've expected for what seems to have been a ~45minute total outage that there'd have been some communication if it was planned. Of course, if it's a break/fix, that's a different story.

As far as I know the work was planned but the outage was not. Sorry for all the hassles!

Chris
