So, I am looking at moving over to VDSL and I think Snap is going to be the ISP of choice.

My question is, within the next few months I am looking at moving house. I will of course look for a place where VDSL is available, but on the off chance it's not, would I be able to change back to an ADSL plan with Snap with no penalties? (I assume of course it would require me to sign another 12 month contract, but that's expected)

They're normally quite good about this. But a moving fee may apply (about $60 IIRC)

Hmm.. It's weird, its either not noted anywhere, or very hard to find...

The closest I could find was this link pointing to UFB... wonder if the same rules apply? http://www.snap.net.nz/support/content/19/96/en/can-i-move-house-without-breaking-my-ufb-contract.html

You might want to check with them directly. I know you can move from VDSL to UFB without breaking contract and think you can move from UFB to DSL (if you move out of a UFB zone.. not sure why anybody would) But I'm not sure you can move from a more expensive VDSL plan to ADSL.

So, to answer my own question, they'll let me move house with no fee.

The only thing I have to look into now is the modem.... Otherwise I think we're all sorted!

Excited!!
