Hey there!

So I am a teen who has just moved house with my mum. The last house we were in had a 10mbps download speed (constant even during peak times) and an upload of 1mbps, we were in a 10mbps only zone and the speeds seemed to be sufficient for my mum to be streaming videos on her iPad and me playing games while downloading more on steam at the same time with no stream lag for my mum and no multiplayer lag for me. We were with Vodafone/Telstraclear but we decided to switch to orcon for the cheaper deal and the VOIP service. I occasionally live stream myself playing games on twitch and upload videos to youtube with no problem on a 1mbps upload connection so we though ADSL would be more than enough for my mum and I so we don't want nor will get VDSL. We moved in 5 days ago and chorus is scheduled to connect us to adsl on Monday (we have already received the Genius from Orcon) and I though I would have a wander around the street to see if I could locate the cabinet so I went up the street and back down again and couldn't find it so I though I would walk home *facepalm* the cabinet is beside the house literally 7metres away from the front door. If the cabinet is this close to the house how fast do you think my adsl speed will be? It would be great if I could achieve 20mbps as it is double the speed I used to have would be wonderful as I would (hopefully) zero lag and I could download games on steam quicker and how quick do you think my upload would be? Anything above 0.90Mbps is sufficient enough and before I forget I am on the unlimited plan. Thanks!
