For anybody interested.........My Snap! 200/200 is up and running. Ordered it Monday morning, received the new 7490 Tuesday and got the 200 switched on Today. Here are a few speediest results, NZ, Aus and US. Very impressed with the new Fritzbox wireless AC to my iPhone 6 with wireless AC.

As far as real world tests go I have tested a download from a site I use in the states San Jose to be precise and the download  speed reached 136mbps!

Pretty impressed so far and highly recommended. Thanks Snap for the great service and seamless upgrade.

Excellent - I've just been transitioned today to Snap's 200/20 plan until Enable gets the 200/200 sorted and am getting over 200 down on Speedtest.net to Snap's server in Christchurch, however to the Speedtest servers in San Jose I'm only getting a max of 17 down - was it one of the Speedtest servers that gave you the 100.19 Mb/s result to San Jose in the picture above?

Hi PoHq

Great to see things have gone well and the service is humming along nicely. The 7490 is an awesome device and one that we'll be pushing hard. I wonder if it can do faster than 200Mbps? :)

Cheers
Ralph

ill be interested to see how hard it pushes too!

in due time im sure :)

@Otagolad, toy around with servers, many of the servers in US are badly configured for scaling up rapidly for a test, thus it gets far more lower tests.

i forget off the top of my head which one it is that preforms the most solid, and dont have my vdsl connection sitting here to work it out myself for you unfortunately.

It certainly is an amazing service feels ROCK solid. I have had over 200 a couple of times, due to how it's now shaped. Previously only (lol only) used to get 93 and 40 on the 100/50 plan.

I'm not a huge wireless user, everything aside from phone and laptop is hardwired in but wireless AC has impressed me.

Here is a screen of a real world download I'm doing now from the states. 133.44mbps!!

Thanks - I've tried all the US West Coast servers and can't get anything better than 17Mb/s down which is nowhere near the 100Mb/s the OP posted.  Not sure if I have a problem or there is something I don't get.

I ordered the 200/200 today - I guess because I'm switching from VDSL they are just reprovisioning the existing fritz as the order says 'own fritz' - shame as it would have been nice to get the new model.

Same here, tho I can't go on 200/200 just yet as Enable doesn't have it available so I went on for 200/20 for now till Enable ready for their 200/200
Call Snap again yesterday checking on the upgrade, it's gonna happen on Thursday, will wait and see.

Just out of interest - are snap still using pppoe authentication for the 200/200 plan? we won't be using the old fritz because of its poor wifi so need to make sure we can configure up the router before install.

You can trade in your "old fritz" + $199 for a brand new 7490 with the epic AC wifi! But if you have your heart set on something else, then yes we are still using PPPoE.
