It's not very often I get grumpy but iServe are seriously dysfunctional beyond belief. I now have no email because their accounting and support systems are clearly useless.

 

I renewed a domain in December and paid by credit card. A whois shows this renewed until Dec 2017 and my credit card was charged.

 

I got an email a week or so later saying this hasn't been paid. Replied saying it was and got a support ticket response but no follow up response.

 

I got an email a few days ago saying this domain would be removed from the .NZ registry due to non payment. Once again sent an email to you and got a support ticket response but no contact from a human.

 

Now I find on a Sunday afternoon by domain no longer works which has taken down my email.

 

Thanks for nothing. Now I'll be dealing in the morning trying to get this reactivated so I can get a UDAI to transfer my domain out. If anybody from Callplus/iServe/Orcon is on here can you please contact me before I contact you because I'm not going to be very happy.

If the domain was removed try to register it with a company that knows their business, before someone else does it!

A whois shows it still paid up until Dec 2017. It looks like they've just removed DNS at present.

The renewal doesn't sound like it is related to the problem you are having with DNS if the domain want renewed. I too haven't had a reply to my tickets with Iserve. I suggest tweeting Orcon via their twiiter page, or via Orcons Facebook page, as they will should prod then onto action.

Everybody from Orcon has been away on holiday. They have had no social media presence since Xmas eve.

i saw you grizzling about this on Twitter. Why on earth would a DNS entry just disappear someone must have deleted it.

It's being sorted now, somebody finally answered the phone and confirmed payment was made on the 13th Dec.

 

Apparently nobody has been able to reply to billing or support emails since the 29th Dec because it's been holidays yet you've still been able to send me emails starting on the 29th Dec telling me it hasn't been paid and then disconnect the domain.

 

Yes it's been the holidays but I seriously can't comprehend how the service can be so poor and the processes so broken.

Yeh well we still provide basic level support during brownout/blackout periods... They def should have been there last week. Jan 9 -> 13th at least for phone/email support.

The domain payment shouldn't have had anything to do with the DNS being disconnected, as they are totally separate services.. Especially if the domain showed it was paid until the end of 2017 on the NZ registrys Whois. Maybe you were meaning they hadn't applied the payment for the DNS or web hosting service, which are often an additional fee?

I submitted an iServe hosting problem via email on January 6th and recevied a ticket number. On Jan 13th I hadn't received any communication about my problem so replied to the ticket email asking if any progress has been made. As of this morning I still haven't received any reply. Are they all still on holiday?!?

I found iServe was never the fastest to reply, even long before Orcon was involved :(
