Hey all, got the speed boost applied today 900/500. But every speed test gives back the same result consistently download is almost identical...

Got a Fritz 7490, Ive checked all the drivers, tried it on 3 different machines, changed any cables that weren't cat6. Anyone else got any ideas why it seems to cap at the 445-450 mark consistently?

It's up to 1Gbps/s that speed is awesome

Sure its good, locally thou it should have no issue getting closer to 900/500 on a speedtest. Its hard capping when i do the Spark speed test at exactly 450...

Hard capping? You mean speed throttling to 450. No.

3 different machines all doing the same thing. Only device connected atm is the fritz to the ont which 2degrees have checked all the settings on...shrug they have logged a fault so guess will wait and see

WLAN is turned off and everythings disconnected except 1 machine at a time - tested 3 machines all the same. Its a fritz 7490

95+% of the issues relating to people not getting 900+mbps turn out to be either the router or their device. until you rule those out i doubt there is much your ISP can do

have a search round here and find the 10's of other threads just like yours and see the same advice you are being repeated over and over

The most likely issue is still your network or the OS/application/browser of your machines. Have you tried the windows 10 ookla speedtest APP (NOT browser)?
