Took away the combo rewards and added it to the combo.

Hoping the combo rewards remain actually?

Is there any reason for me to not switch away from the $29 post-paid plan, then?

When I last looked into it (and admittedly this was a while ago) 2D told me I couldn't change from the $29 post-paid to prepay and keep my number.

However I could switch to Vodafone, transfer my number across, then switch back to 2D!

Don't know if that's changed since.

Oh my god...

If that's still true, it's probably best solved by switching to Skinny Direct (and staying there).

I got the text message on Friday and have been waiting to see when the website would update; which I see it has now.

$19 for 1GB plus more minutes and text message than I know what to do with - why would I ever want to move over to a plan?

This 1GB data is permanent and not temporary right?

Tempting. Very tempting. I've actually just gone to a 28-day Skinny plan with 150mins rollover (never use any) and 750MB rollover for $16. I cold use the extra 250MB/mth and that data clock is a real bonus for the odd heavy usage too. But my locked Skinny phone is only 6 months old so it's only free to unlock after another 3 months unless I pay the $30, which I won't do on principle. So I guess that give me some breathing space to weigh up the pros and cons.

I don't know who told you that, but it's rubbish: of course you can switch to prepay and keep your number!

Only reasons to stay with $29 pay monthly are inertia and $10/month off 2D broadbandings...

It was one of the staff at a 2D store but was a while ago. Probably didn't want to serve me.

As a $29 plan holder I did feel neglected watching the prepay and the higher plans get more and more added on.

Data sharing will be keeping me on the $29 plan - for the moment at least.

Yeah every time plans get rejigged without any love going the Pay Monthly way I feel a little more aggrieved....but on the upside it does push me to reconsider my options and look at what is available out there, so a good wake up call :D (which I must do - lol)
