Hi guys

I am the most recent person to join Orcon LLU...

Just wondering for those people who has those Uniden's phone, does there anybody receiving Caller ID today??? apparently it is a nationwide thingy and the technican are looking at it???

I successfully received caller id earlier today (1.30pm?), if that helps?

i know it was working this morning approx 9:15-12pm...

but the staffs keeps on mentioning to me that it is not working for particular uniden phone

hi...
ever since i changed over to orcon, my caller ID hasn't worked.
I've been emailing them back and forth close to a month now, they've reset my port couple of times and gave me some BS solutions and excuses.
their last email goes we are aware of this issue and our network engineers are working on it bla bla bla bla bla...

first time i heard about the uniden thing... cause i also have a uniden phone..

ive found the caller id to be intermittent since changing to orcon llu, about 2 months, as opposed to telecom caller id worked pretty well

also using uniden phones

rang Orcon support line again, they said to me that there is no ETA for the caller ID to be fixed???

well, the last it was working is on 5pm yesterday, rang once, then it will not work again

Thank you for your email regarding caller ID. From your email I understand that caller ID is not working for you at the moment.

Caller ID is turned on on all Orcon voice connections by default.

This is a known issue that we are currently working on resolving. At this point we do not have an ETA. However this is top priority for us and we will have it fixed as soon as possible.

Honestly, even this is a priority problem, it should mentioned on their system blog to ensure everybody knows on that???

This problem has been on our system status page since it was diagnosed and replicated.

So I take it you guys became aware of this issue today.

Because I've been checking the System's Status page since I realised my caller ID was not working (since i changed over to orcon a month ago)
I just saw the caller ID issue post after I read your reply.
I last checked the system's status page the day before yesterday and there was nothing about caller ID issues.

I actually had email arguments with your support about not being clear with their customers, and that if they knew about this issue they should put it up on the systems status page to let people know...

I was only told you guys are aware of this issue few days ago and that's after I sent a sort of angry email after being mucked around for 3 weeks...

I can show you my emails and orcon's emails if you like... totally unprofessional...

Hope that the caller ID can be fixed up as soon as possible.. I been waiting for this services for sometimes now prior before joining orcon.. I am grateful that it is offered as part of Orcon package as well... but now it is still not working... hmmm

Just for the info for you.. one of my friend who lives in Church St, Nortcote (next to Onewa Road), the caller ID is working? and also my other friends living in Ocean View Road, northcote, it is working too? however my area in Chatswood is not receiving any Caller ID so far...

This is exactly why this issue has taken a while to correctly diagnose - some people have caller ID working the whole time, others have it working intermittently, and still others do not have caller ID working at all. Obviously if it was a network wide issue then it would have been much easier to diagnose.
