Works for me here (not on Slingshot) - if you ping 162.254.39.138, which is the server you're on, does it respond?

If you run a command window (assuming Windows), you can use the commands nslookup to see if your computer can find the server IP address and then ping to see if your computer can see the server.

c:> nslookup ode23.com

Name:    ode23.com
Address:  162.254.39.138

c:> ping 162.254.39.138

Pinging 162.254.39.138 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 162.254.39.138: bytes=32 time=177ms TTL=52
Reply from 162.254.39.138: bytes=32 time=169ms TTL=52

When I do the same process using my iphone as a hotspot connected to mobile data it works fine

to my limited knowledge that says the router or what the router is connected to (slingshot) is the problem

but I understand it may not be that logical

Thank you taking the time to explain

You will have to start from the basics. Is there any firewall on your server that might be blocking your IP?

Is there a firewall on your computer or router that could be blocking outgoing requests to that server?

Yes, purely on my observation that seeming random connection failures are often caused by ISP DNS problems. But if you're using Google DNS, you've eliminated that

Ther was a thread on here 2010 that suggested leving your modem switched of for 18 hours and that would reset the ip apparently that is no longer the case

Just spoke to slingshot tech support. They say they have one ip address 124.197.46.41 and that cant be changed unless you pay for a dedicated ip address.

But if namecheap was blocking 124.197.46.41 wouldnt that basically affect every slingshot user?

Just as an interesting side note.
I've had the same IP address from Slingshot for at least 4 years. However, I see yesterday (12-10-2023) at 13:32 it changed along with the default gateway address.

Somewhat success by using a Hotspot Shield VPN thingy I am able to access the websites

What that quite means I am not sure and I still dont know what is causing the issue

It is likely that your host has blocked your IP in their firewall. This can happen if you try and log into somethign like a email account in outlook multiple times in a row with the wrong password. So you will have to contact your host to get it unblocked/whitelisted if that is the case. If they have blocked it ask them why so you can fix it at your end.
