There have been rumours about Snap releasing new pricing for a while now, but we are still waiting...

I'm on a $69.95 Snap nDSL plan, and I also pay $10 to Slingshot for an iTalk line. I also usually end up paying another $20-30+ p/m for extra data. So that puts my bill at $100-110 for around 20GB p/m.

Slingshot's new nDSL plan called "Just Broadband" would give me 25GB plus an iTalk line for $79.95. I would also get Databanking and FREE offpeak downloading between 2am-8am.

What have you got up your sleeve Snap, or do I have to move ISP yet again?

I asked the same question in May and was told it would be a couple of months? then i asked again in September with no reply.

Just so you know, to join Slingshot NDSL you must have an active landline with Telecom.

I'm sure I read on another thread that if you have ndsl with another provider all will be sweet! Anyway, I have an italk line with SS so should be all good.

Only issue is if you have no homeline or broadband connected at all.

Love it! Way to turn the heat up on Snap.

However, I don't really want to leave Snap... I think they are pretty cool, hell I even developed what I believe is still the only Snap usage meter (who would maintain it???). But, I am buying a house and could do with a little more money in the pocket. Hmmmm, what a dilema...

I am looking at getting internet at my house, and seems like snap is the best so far. Mainly because i dont need an active phone line or broadband connections inorder to get the Naked dsl... But its just not quite there... For instance, slingshot's off peak downloading is quite attractive. Any update on the new plans? can you give us any detail on what the canges might be???? ANYTHING! Haha, if not, thanks for the heads up, its because of your post that I am waiting to get broadband. I would like to go with snap, but need more data!!! haha...

Is NZ's Number 1 ISP for 2009 going to reward existing and new customers with some great broadband pricing for 2010? :D

Look forward to the new pricing asap.

For me the attraction is Telecom's BigTime plan, unlimited data. I'm a fan of Snap and have been for over 2 years, however, I need to make some savings whereever possible.

I think the current plans are fine. Keeps away all the poor p2pers who like to rape networks. If you guys introduce something like telecoms plan, please put them in their own network pool or however it works!

When I was choosing my Snap plan the naked DSL plans struck me as pointless because they don't appear to save any cost compared with the equivalent phone service + broadband service combos. We have absolutely no use for a fixed line phone here and don't even have one plugged in, but we have the phone service set up anyway as it works out $3 a month cheaper than naked DSL.

Some more competitively priced naked DSL plans would be very welcome in this household.

Humm... Good point. I am as well in the market for the same thing. It should be at least a LITTLE cheaper to have Just dsl... doesn't make much sense...

Just like every other ISP that provides services over Telecom Wholesale equipment you won't see Naked ADSL much more than $10-20 cheaper than Standard DSL + Landline.

Thus the price Snap can offer Naked ADSL at is largely determined by the Commerce Commission and Telecom Wholesale.
