I'm on 2 degrees (ported number from Vod) - am receiving multiple txts from another 2degrees user and apparently my txts have been received multiple times from a Telecom user...

Anyone else??

Have logged a call with 2Deg but curious if I'm the only one?

Ph: Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro using Handcent for SMS

You may have heard about the earthquake. It's affecting everyone's capacity at the moment; signaling congestion (mostly locally on sites) causes this.

Busy mum - no I hadn't heard about another earthquake...

I'm in Lower Hutt and the other people are further up country...

6.3 but only 10km SE of Christchurch and 5km deep, so looking like a lot more damage than September. All the networks (including ours) are going nuts right now.

I have been getting a lot of duplicate messages today, obviously due to the earthquake.
But it also hasn't been limited to today.

Myself and a few other friends on 2degrees have been getting the same thing over the past couple of weeks.
The exact same TXT coming through 3,4, sometimes 6 times.

Has it been reported to customer care?

No.

What's the best way to report it?
As I don't want to clog the phones ATM, is there a digital avenue? Email, online form?

It's been happening to me on previous days too (just today was worse but I have an explanation for that at least...)

Generally speaking. start by calling 200 and letting them know. But today, don't bother. :-(

Thanks SaltyNZ. Much appreciated.
I've actually just logged into "Your 2degrees" and noticed there is a "Log a Problem" area.

I won't even bother with it today. :-(
Will log it there soon.

My thoughts are with everyone affected by the quake.

I've been getting multiple TXT's, and then no text's at all from Vodafone, and also even by texting my own cell phone.

I assume it's because of the horrific problems in 03

I've received no texts since about 3pm for obvious reasons. Not complaining, just wondering if they will actually come in at all or will they just be lost forever?

Interesting, I can't even text myself, and I'm in Auckland. Same with my fiancee, also in AKL - texts to each other (or ourselves) aren't delivered. Calls are fine.

I'm receiving texts but only from other networks. Replies don't get to them.

I wouldn't be overly worried though in the context of things, although "are you OK?" texts to friends in the Chch area who I've not heard anything from would assumedly also be affected.

lol not a big worry at the moment

But calls & txt to CHCH should be prioritised
