My connection has been great all weekend (ADSL on the shore AKL). P2P has been maxing out my connection and even YouTube has been not too bad, although having trouble showing some stuff in 720.

During non-peak times? have you discussed the issue with the helpdesk?

I checked Orcon network status page - says no issues. I wonder if I'd get any different response from helpdesk.

Another test

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Free setup code: R587125ERQ6VE. Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Correct, we don't have any known issues on the edge/core or international network.

So would like to get your line/setup etc looked at.

My connection is back to normal again(domestic traffic), last couple of days were nightmares.

Sydney Link tonight is kind of slow again, just wondering when your upgrade will finish?

That's expected, what you should also expect is good speed at night.

Speed to Sydney tonight, only 6PM, hopefully it won't go any worse than this. BTW, is the upgrade finished?

The normal sequence of states is:

Chorus Open – Problem logged with Chorus

The Result  GRADE F   Which is what Speedtest has given it.

Before the work  14 mb/s to Auckland

After the work as below 2.28 mb/s Auckland (Now I can't even get a decent  speed to  NZ sites Auckland )
Before the work 1.5 mb/s to LA

after the work 1.5 mb/s to LA  a smashing 0% improvement.
