I had a nice little TVHeadend server (v3.4) running for a couple of years with a single DVB-S tuner in my Ubuntu home server, streaming to two Kodi clients. Everything worked nicely.
Recently I upgraded my home server to a new box and installed Proxmox so I can run OpenVZ containers for easier backing up and maintenance. As a result I had to re-install TVHeadend and ended up with the latest version v4.0.6.
I went through the configuration steps and managed to get TVH recognising my tuner and it seems to auto-tune all the muxs available on Optus D1. Including the Freeview ones, 12456 and 12483. After finishing the scan it finds about 21 and 17 services on those two MUXs respectively, but none of those are Freeview channels. I can get Prime on 12546 and FOUR PLUS 1 on 12483 but nothing else, like TV1,2,3, Maori, Parliament (not that I ever watch it!) etc.
I have tried countless different configurations but for some reason the Freeview channels just can't be found.
I have 12456H and 12483H, 22500, QPSK, 3/4, configured which looks right according to all the sites detailing NZ Freeview.
I have the tuner configured as a 'Universal LNB Only', there is no Circular LNB option which is what my old install was using.
Any one got any ideas what could be wrong based on my symptions above? I should also mention I can happily watch Prime via the 12546 MUX so I know the system is working to some degree.
Is it possible my dish is out of alignment slightly? Or if that was the case would I get no services at all? Have the frequencies changed recently or Freeview moved to another MUX? I haven't found anything online mentioning this but I may well have missed something.
Open to trying anything at this stage - spent the last 2 weeks fighting with this trying to get it working. Turning to GZ as a last resort!!
Cheers,
Ben
