You probably haven't mapped the channels correctly.

Hi mentalinc

All Freeview HTPC users in NZ are indebted to you for your EPG compilations.  It would be useless without your work since MediaPortal cannot read the MHEG-5 EPG being broadcast.

I'm not sure if you are open to suggestions, but here goes.

Would it be possible to include the rating of the programs, such as PG, AO, etc?  I use to use a Zinwell Freeview decoder which displays this information in the EPG, and this was useful to know if a programme was suitable for the kids.  The Zinwell also showed at the end of the description an HD symbol if the program was true HD, Dolby Souround 5.1, and some other symbols I was not interested in, such as if subtitles were abailable.  Is this information available from whatever source you compile the details?  This would give us HTPC users the same advantages as the upcoming Freeview hard drive recorders.

Also, I sometimes record some BBC World shows from TV1 in the middle of the night.  Current;y I have to look up the programs on the BBC World website and program recording start and end times to get these recorded.  Would it be possible to include the BBC World details in the FreeView xml for the 3 or 4 hours that TV1 broadcasts BBC World?  That would save heaps of time and hassle.

Any chances?

Many thanks,
Ross.

Hi Ross

I have no control over the xml file content I only provide the means to download and use it easily.

Feel free to start a thread relating to the actual EPG data (probably best in the HTPC forum I guess). I don't follow geekzone very closely but I may see it.

Hey charley, mine is doing the exact same thing, except it's showing the sports extra channel. Did you manage to fix it?

Hi there,

As per the most of the other posts - thanks for this utility!

I've got a quick question, which hopefully might be able to be answered...

I installed the latest files from your website, and tried running the scheduletask.bat file.  I am running XP SP2 as admin, and also received the 'parameter is incorrect'.

No problems though, I have setup a scheduled task to run "C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\freeviewNZ-EPG-GBPVR.exe" -mediaportalTVServer at 8.55pm each evening.  It seems to be working great!  When I run the task, it confirms I have the latest version etc...

I use mediaportal, and my pc is a dedicated HTPC.  At the end of the evening, I put my PC into sleep mode.

When I revive the machine (the next day), I usually get a web browser window on top of my mediaportal window.  This web browser is the mentalindustries webpage.  To get rid of this, I need to close it with a mouse / keyboard - bit of a pain as we usually use a smaller remote.

It happens most days.  The window never shows up while we are watching TV / Movies etc, only when I revive.

Any ideas?  Any way I can stop it bringing up the webpage!?

Cheers,
Danny

It will only open up the website when you have an old version installed.

Download the latest version and just replace the .exe

But thanks I might make a new webpage to make it more obvious.

Hi again,

I do have the latest version, when I run the task via the 'task scheduler' window it confirms.  I also downloaded it again to make sure!

When the task runs at 8.55pm (as scheduled) it seems fine.

However, when I revive my computer the next day (like today about 6pm) the website was sitting on top of mediaportal.

Could there be another scheduled task which isn't visible via 'task scheduler?'.  I do have an older version sitting in my GBPVR directory, but I don't use that program anymore...

That makes sense, if you have a task setup for gb-pvr that will be the one causing the window to openup.

I suggest you delete the task set up for gbpvr (saves downloading the epg twice everyday)

I guess that's my question - where would that scheduled task live (for GBPVR).  It's not in my windows 'task scheduler'.

To confirm if this was the problem, I've just uninstalled GB-PVR and deleted the whole directory structure!!

I'll let you know if I have any more problems!

I tried to run "freeviewNZ-EPG-GBPVR.exe"

but I got this error: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click OK to terminiate the application"

By  the way, I installed my system and all programs in E:, accordingly, I modified all the BAT batch files as "E:\..."

You need to install .net which you can download from here:
