bazzer: I thought it was sound over HDMI that had problems?
Also, I had a problem with my box yesterday. I came to use it last nigth and the time was incorrect, no problem once I turned it on the time updated but I was unable to change channels. The banner came up but the channel wouldn't change. EPG didn't work and a number of other little things. Turned off/on and everything was fine again. I'll be keeping an eye on things but hopefully just an isolated incident.

If you leave the device off for quite some time the clock eventually locks up. turning it on fixes the clock but there is still some process locked. so no updates to epg etc. power cycle fixes it.It is not isolated it is a bug. Visione are already looking at the issue.Dave
Jaxson: Under standard 1.3 firmware gives good audio via HDMI and RCA Analogue. Only issue is with digital out coax/opt which works 95% of the time with Dolby 5.1 sources when set to AC3 in menu, but breaks up 95% of the time with normal MPEG audio soundtrack when set to PCM in menu.
V 1.4 supposed to correct this, but supposedly reverses the situation, in that it corrects all dig outs, but screws up hdmi audio.
Seriously doubt cable thickness is to blame, unless it's isolated to your surrounding gear or a localised cable fault wiht your leads.
