On this topic sort of...

Is there a documented process to export recordings to a usb connected drive or copy across the network?

Cheers
Bernard

PS.. I'm impressed by the response from DishTV; infinitely better than Samsung.  And not just because DishTV are in the TRON either :-)

Yes! You can copy files from the built in drive to a portable USB drive, you can also vise versa this and get files into the hard drive too,

The T2200 can also access SMB shared folders on computers too via the local network.

Menu > Media Manager > File Transfer

Correct, from my list it's MP4, AVI, WMV. However I will see if more formats can be accepted.

Hi Customers

I have set up a private forum to get feedback on a few content I work at Dish TV like PDF Manuals, iManual Devalopment, Videos and other end user items.
This forum is only for feedback on these few items, nothing will change on the current public threads here, topics will be very different and only specific to certain things.
It saves on cluttering the public Freeview DVBT/S thread.

If you would like access please +1 this post and I will add your username to the forum system. If you are tech savy, have a few products of Dish TV or one of the 2015 + generation boxes, love discussions not rants (haha) and would love to add 2 cents to how things look then this is for you.

Cheers!

Is this copy function work on the T1050-PVR or is it different method?
Cheers Bernard

The copy function does work on this unit, I think the transfer rate takes longer, You can access this via Menu > Media Manager > Media Transfer

Just brought the T2200 today

Couple of things:
- the unit is covered in protective plastic, but the warranty void sticker is on top of this plastic making it impossible to remove the plastic without damaging/removing this sticker.
- when the unit is off/in standby mode it is not passing RF through the RF output on the back of the unit, so what ever is connected after the t2200 gets no signal
- there are a tonne of acronyms on the onscreen menus that are not even touched on in the manual, it would be nice when you highlight something it said on the screen what it did, there is space under the little picture on the left. i dont want to have to open the manual each time i find something i dont know
- "Timeshift - You can set the maximum length the unit will time-shift to" what does that mean?
- if i press the media button im taken to the USB page of the media center, if i press it again nothing happens, why not make it so it takes you to the UPnP page or one of the other Media type functions. I used UPnP a lot through the TV at the moment. The t2200 is very cumbersome when it comes to getting to this.
- there is a favorite button but nothing at all in the manual as to what it does or how to use it

Its looking and feeling like a very capable unit, it just needs some polishing

That seems bizarre , maybe it's faulty.
Can't see it being designed like that

I'll note that to the team.

- when the unit is off/in standby mode it is not passing RF through the RF output on the back of the unit, so what ever is connected after the t2200 gets no signal

Can you please call our phone team on  Monday and their team can determine it its a fault with the RF output or just a few settings that need tweaking.

- there are a tonne of acronyms on the onscreen menus that are not even touched on in the manual, it would be nice when you highlight something it said on the screen what it did, there is space under the little picture on the left. i dont want to have to open the manual each time i find something i dont know

That's for that, I'll pass this onto the team, We are nearly finished with the PDF manual  which has more content.

- "Timeshift - You can set the maximum length the unit will time-shift to" what does that mean?

If you paused a live TV show, you can decided how long you would like the recording to go for. this can be up to 3 Hours

- if i press the media button im taken to the USB page of the media center, if i press it again nothing happens, why not make it so it takes you to the UPnP page or one of the other Media type functions. I used UPnP a lot through the TV at the moment. The t2200 is very cumbersome when it comes to getting to this.

The Media Button only shows what's on a attached  USB device, to get UPnP go to Menu > Media Manager > Media Sharing. You can also cast items from a Laptop or Smart Phone / Tablet or get them from the Media Sharing Menu itself.

- there is a favorite button but nothing at all in the manual as to what it does or how to use it

We decided not to include this in the initial manual however we will include this in the next upcoming version I can confirm this for you.

Its looking and feeling like a very capable unit, it just needs some polishing
