Hi, I've had the T2200 for a week now and am generally very pleased with it. Still some kinks to iron out but happy to see a responsive team behind it

Particularly please with the media sharing abilities, and have successfully streamed content from both a NAS and Plex Media Server (had to set up a special profile on the PMS to transcode DTS audio streams that the T2200 doesn't support).

My problem though is that when streaming video that is not in 16:9 format (e.g. source is 2.35:1) the T2200 stretches the image vertically to make it fill the screen, rather than putting black bars top and bottom (letterbox) to preserve the original aspect ratio.

Any suggestions for how to fix this would be great please.

Thanks for the feedback, we are glad to hear that you are enjoying the features on the T2200, In regards to the playback I will get the software team to have a look at this and get it fixed as there is nothing yet you can do on your end.

In the Media Center, it displays the list of files int he current dirrectory down the right hand side, and the current file details down the bottom on the left.

Could you make it so the currently selected files name scrolls through the avaliable space on the right hand side list, and also down the bottom. as if you have long file names and the only difference is the last few characters/numbers you have no way of seeing this, and all the files look the same.

just make using it a lot easier. as we tend to use the media center/UPnP a lot

Also struggling with the audio settings, which don't seem to make sense to me. The only way I can get DD 5.1 to my AV receiver through the co-ax cable is to set the Audio->SPDIF Output Mode setting to Compressed, then on an HD channel I use the Audio button on the remote to cycle through to the AC3 option, at which point the receiver happily plays the DD 5.1 stream. If I have the setting on Uncompressed there is no way I can get a DD 5.1 stream to the receiver, just DD ProLogic II. However, with the setting on Compressed, I cannot play MP3 audio files from a UPnP source, I have to set it to Uncompressed before I choose the UPnP source.

Is this expected behaviour? I don't understand why I cannot get a DD 5.1 stream when it is set to Uncompressed. Also, the graphics seem counter-intuitive when cycling through the audio options available. With the Compressed setting, AAC option is shown with surround sound speakers, while AC3 is shown with only a stereo pair - strange when it is AC3 that delivers the 5.1 channels and AAC drops to DPLII, or am I missing something?

spdif can only carry compressed 5.1 audio, it would need to be HDMI to carry uncompressed 5.1, and I dont even know if the boxes support it, probably not. There is no way that it could send 5.1 uncompressed to a reciever so its doing what is expected and sending a 2.0 downmix from it.

Seems strange on the MP3 playback issues. Ive never felt the need to try it, but might have a play and see what happens sometime.

Thanks for the info Rich. My AVR doesn't take HDMI input (Arcam AVR 300, an oldie but a goodie for sound!) but I can take audio through HDMI back from the TV, so that works, I can leave setting on Uncompressed, get the TV to forward the DD 5.1 stream to the AVR and still listen to MP3 over UPnP - thanks again :)

Hi Josh ,

Can you confirm IF the Name of the program you are deleting will be added to a future build , my personal list of needs has dwindled to just this one now . When deleting the dialogue box simply says do you want to delete, not what you are deleting , it would be great to narrow down given the box can select a brand new recording when exiting back to the menu . The program sort function is great and has us 80% of the way there. The trash bin option would be an excellent safety net as mentioned by others, but i think it important for it to mention the name of what is being deleted, it should save some grief :)

As a workaround you can look through the semi-transparent background surrounding the dialogue box and still see which recording is highlighted - agree it would be clearer in the actual box, but being able to look through to the list works for me.

Hey Jimmy, I will find out it's fate on Tuesday whether its going to be in this next update or not. This has not been forgotten!

I hate to say it, but it looks as though the last firmware update has made the DLNA client worse.
I am finding movies are now getting jerky, and even freezing mid way through, something I had not experienced before. Have the Codex changed or anything like that?

i had one movie do that the other day, would play half a second, pause half a second, rinse and repeat, only noticed it when my son came and said something.

never had it happen before on my other devices
