I'm resetting and boxing up my Smartvu x tonight to return it.

I only bought it for freeview (no terrestrial or dish) and there are simply better options for this using Kodi and other IPTV apps.

tested the raw links from MJH last night and they work fine with menu's and recording on a simple IPTV app.

Flicking mjh some coffee money as I post...

Good news, the app has been updated - my smartvu automatically updated last night, and the EPG is back. It's great DishTV got it sorted, but there is a lot of room for improvement.

So did they correct the EPG Url, or get switch.tv to re-enable the sandbox?

Given it was an update to the app I believe it was the former.

Great they updated it.

I recomended this box to a colleague late last yaer and forgot about it - They were waving one that they bought yesterday at me as I left work.

Sounds like it will be working ok now.

This update also enable changing the streaming channel from the EPG.

Anyone else noticing no internet connection after wakeup from standby even though it says connected in settings, only a reboot will reconnect it to the internet. Soo annoying.

Mine does this sometimes when switching between apps. Turning WiFi off and back on again seems to fix it for me

I asked them a few weeks ago. TVNZ don't seem to care...

Hi John,

Thanks for getting in touch!
Currently, TVNZ OnDemand casting is only officially supported through Google Chromecast devices. That may be why you are running into issues.
Sorry about that!
We appreciate you taking the time to let us know your thoughts and interest.
We will forward your feedback on to our product owners!
Don't hesitate to get back in touch if you need anything else!

Cheers,

Priscilla
