I got LNB OS 525
  Input  12.25-12.75
 Output    950-1450
Noise  0.6dB

My dish is a oval shape I thinnk is size 60 and i purchased new on trademe and it came with another LNB with dual heads but pain in the butt to setup. that is why im using this single head LNB now.

but in the software instructions for the LNB setup this are the  instructions:
LNB Power : The configuration to let you supply power to LNB or not.
•  LNB Type : There are three types of LNB listed below.
Normal (LNB Freq.1=5150MHz, LNB Freq.2=5750 MHz)
Universal (LNB Freq.1=10600 MHz, LNB Freq.2=9750 MHz) and custom.

But cant figure out why
there is an animated Bars to show
on the left Signal Quality and on the right Signal strength and I keep hitting the 80% signal strength but I cant get the signal quality to work and when i ran the auto scan does not find any channels. Im gonna make a whole in the wall with my head ahaha,

thanks

Andy

Your LNB settings do not sound right to me.

Basic stuff is you want the lnb power on, and you want 22kHz tone set to off.

What settings have you put into the program.

And what is written on your lnb?

Did you manage to get the program to store your transponder info? (frequency/polarity/symbol rate data)

If you're using MediaPortal then I would advise you not to look at Regs tutorial - it is very out of date now (it was written for 0.2.3 and we are about to release 1.2.0b), so it will probably just confuse you. Briefly, you will most likely need to use the LNB frequency overrides in the advanced tuning options section. Tick the advanced tuning options checkbox on the satellite scanning screen, enable the LNB frequency overrides by checking the override checkbox, then try the following options:

10750 (freq 1)
10750 (freq 2)
12750 (switch)

and

11300 (freq 1)
11300 (freq 2)
12750 (switch)

There is some general information about scanning available on our wiki here...
