methodikyl: You can't record the epg. They've already been. They're there because you've missed them mate. The ok button, I usually find it's because you haven't allowed it enough time to load - you'll get the side one. When the programming for all channels etc is loaded in - you'll then get the bottom one

I'm trying to record future scheduled programmes from the FreeviewPlus EPG, not past programmes. It's definitely not a timing thing with recording, as however long I wait, the OK button does nothing when trying to select the record function (but it does work correctly for setting a reminder).

Aah ok mate. I find the record button will record programs playing now. I'm just a user, but if wanting to record future, try.. pushing ok on it.. then you'll be prompted with the option to record the episode, or series (series link). Press ok and it'll be added to your scheduler. If series, it'll record every time a new episode comes on

That's exactly what I'm trying to do, but when I press OK, nothing happens.

Just to be clear, this is the screen I'm looking at. I've got RECORD selected (showing in red). Pressing OK literally does nothing. Does this work for other people on this screen?

In answer to my own problem (in case anyone else is also experiencing this), DishTV has given me a workaround for the problem of being unable to record.

Loading the EPG via the "Guide" button won't let me record, but if I load it using the red button instead, it then works correctly. Weird, but at least I can get it to work.

Now all I desperately need is for the user interface to speed up, as I'm finding this thing very frustrating to use!!

Hi Guys

We have released firmware updates to address the TVNZ OnDemand issue.  Please check and install the following updates (released Sat 17 Jun):

  • AerialBox T2200 firmware version v1.40;
  • SatBox S8200 firmware version v1.31;

If your recorder has not updated, please power off the recorder at the wall and power back on again to force the unit to look for new firmware as it boots.  Latest updates can also be found on the DISH TV Facebook Page here.

Kia Ora Everyone,

I am letting you know that I am departing my role at Dish TV Technologies and will not be an official agent to resolve questions or queries, I have a few weeks to clean up a little and will provide info and support until my last day.

I would like to Thank you all for contributing in these forum posts on Dish TV over the last few years since 2014, I started this work when I was a teenager in University,

I am keeping my profile for personal forum engagement rather than splitting between work and private so I will still be on Geekzone, but this time rather as personal than work comitment. I am still contracted to work with Freeview on their custom built forum, you can find me there answering and providing specialist advise, as well as announcements and more.

I am still uncertain on the future of these discussions but I am sure one of the other agents will continue answering your questions or queries.

I will let you know when I sign off for the last time

Thank you once again,

Josh Hill

Located in the stunning Bay of Islands, if anyone is nearby give me a yell!
