Oh, and one more thing... When trying to enter a password for our TV on demand account, the keyboard didn't have a '*' key. Had to change password to get around. Thanks.

Hi there, have had my T2200 for a few months now, have not quite walked away from MySky yet but getting closer.

Main issue right now for us is that we lose the ability to fast forward, pause & rewind etc when there is another show recording. Generally seems to be when its the same channel (so watching a recorded Chan 3 show, but scheduled recording of another chan 3 show starts) but not 100% sure about that. Once the recording of the other show stops it seems to all come back to life and we get full functionality again.

Have reviewed the forums and see issues with locking up when fast forwarding, is this the same issue? For me the show carries on OK, just can't control it. My work around is to hit the power button (only one that works) and then power back on...takes a minute or so. Then go back to library and select again, but the option to view from the last viewed point is missing so you have to fast forward all the way back to where it all went wrong. Seems to work OK again at that point.

Thanks for providing , we are aware of the problem and have sent the details to the software developers for testing and to hopefully come through with a software upgrade soon, (Unfortunately I don't know when updates come through, just when the receivers pick up the update in our server) Thanks for providing the channel info too as this will help with further testing.

I will try my best to get you updated as soon as I have some new info from the guys, please do let me know if you encounter any further issues.

Hi, I've experienced this problem too, same workaround to power off the unit then works OK when powered back on. For me I seem to produce the "lack of control response" issue by jumping backwards when I start to watch a recording while the box is currently recording - I haven't noticed whether it has to be the same channel, but I don't think so. When I start playing a recording, and I'm not certain whether I've missed the start of the show, or am still watching the end of the previous show (2 minute start buffer), I hit the |<< button to jump back 10 minutes (i.e. to go to the start of the actual recording, not the 2-minute mark) and this triggers the lack of response to controls. I've also tried driving it from the web remote, but this also fails to respond at this point until the box is power-cycled.

The double button press is still there, this is very disappointing

i have also noticed that now when playing media via UPnP it doesnt display as full screen anymore if the dimensions are less than 1080p it will display as the source size of the file, this sucks bigtime as if you are left with huge black bars around what you are watching. I have played with the settings from actual size to fit to screen and none make it any better. This happens on ALL my media thats not 1080p. This needs to be fixed ASAP.

i really hope things are not going backwards with the unit

I need to get a Freeview PVR shortly, this unit looks pretty good, but if it does that...

but why should i have to spend extra money to get another remote? the point is it should just work with out any issues

but it wasnt like that before and it worked fine, 720p was streched streched to fill the screen instead of having a black boarder round it, ditto with smaller content, thats how every other media player ive used has done it. it would always fill one of the dimensions.

I do understand nothing is perfect and i do appreciate the help you provide josh but im going to be very hesitant in updating the software in the future until i know whats been changed because at the moment we are going backwards

I can't see any new updates? I asked about a change log (support@dishtv.co.nz) and they told me they don't have one. Having considerable experience with software development, I'd say they were just fobbing me off or they have some serious issues with their approach to software development..

and how do i stop it auto updating, i turned off scheduled updates and downgraded to V1.22 and as soon as its connected to the network it wants to download the latest update. i dont want the latest update its made the unit largely unusable for me.

What I wrote was ambiguous, my apologies. .I meant Josh should get a remote and pick the commands to find how harmony sorted this so easily. Stretched looks good ..interpolated pixels perhaps . I am guessing your TV can stretch this to fit in one mode it has available ? Pia for sure .. maybe both options on the t2300 would have everyone covered was my thought.
