Thanks for the link.
I have been running 1.47 for some weeks. Forced reboot and sound micro-pauses are still issues.
Acorn TV app stop responding a couple of days ago and now refuses to reinstall after uninstalling it. Can see it OK in the apps store.
Ours has pretty much stopped working in that any episode we play just gives a blank screen as of a few days ago. Trailers do work, which is wierd. I did manage to un/reinstall it as that is the only solution Acorn ever seem to offer. I can get a browser to play, but chromecasting to the A2 gives an SSL certificate error.
I got a messenger update from Acorn TV and they seem more response on this medium than their email one. In it they said ...
Hi David, I've heard back and the technical team has advised there is a known issue with this device, they're working on it now. In the meantime though you can access Acorn on other devices, or via the website. Apologies for the inconvenience, it should be rectified soon.
So some news. For me I cannot use another app/browswer as casting seems to have stopped working too. Might be a co-incidence.
Hi all,
Interested to see if anyone else if finding issues with reception - Mainly with TV3. I started about 4 weeks ago with lots of pixelation on TV3. If I go to the manual scan page I can see Quality at 37% then it droops to 0 for about 10 sec then back to 37%. Checked with other devices using the same cabling and the have strength/quality at 100/97 at worst.
I have added a 4G filter and still no improvement. I am wondering if the tuner has started failing. Appears to affect all the other TV3 channels (Bravo, Edge etc). I am in an apartment block and neighbours have no issues with channels. TV displays 3 with no issues, and HDHomerun is fine as well.
Anyone else seeing similar?
Thanks
John
For the last 3 weeks I haven't been able to turn my Superbox on with the remote. I actually have 2 remotes, the original and a air mouse device I got from Aliexpress which I prefer. Neither will turn it on.
The solution is to unplug the Superbox, connect power again and it automatically starts but then goes through a 2-3 minute reboot.
From that point on both remotes work perfectly and either can be used to turn it off.
Anyone suffered this problem and can anyone offer a less tedious work around?
So i'm assuming you had to clone the Hdd to SSD? Or does this device setup the HDD/SSD from empty?

HDD was effectively empty in our configuration/use. Had removed the 3 recordings from 2020 so there was nothing to copy over. Only thing that got upset was VLC which seemed to keep its setting on the "external" storage, but the app its self was part of the main system onboard storage.
If we had more or wanted to keep something a clone/resize would have been on the cards.
The old drive HDD pulled out of the unit is a Toshiba MQ01ABD100 - March 2018. 5400 RPM drive. no smart errors but something seems off with it.
Despite android seeing the internally fitted drive as a "usb" connected device. There is a full sata connector onboard which seems to be rated correctly for a max of ~3gbps
My guess is that the internal HDD/SDD is constantly in use as part of the live program buffer at least. So regardless of anything else access issues to/with the drive will cause all sorts of odd results
